Is it better to look for a property as part of a group?
Yes! There are few single bedroom properties available in Durham and it is probably better to get the most out of your University experience living with friends.

What type of contract will we have to sign?
Most J W Wood tenancies are Assured Shorthold which run from 1st July for 12 months. Occasionally we are able to offer alternative terms.

How do we pay the rent?
Each person pays their share of the total house rent on a monthly basis by Standing Order in advance.

What deposit will be payable?
This depends on the individual Landlord but as a general rule it will be about one month’s rent and is payable when you sign the Tenancy Agreement.
