We're proud to share that we've been awarded Gold in the North East category at The Trusted Agent Awards 2026, held at the Kerfuffle Conference, ICC Newport, on 7 July 2026, and hosted by Mock the Week's Dara O'Briain.
It means a great deal to us. We've built our roots in County Durham and the surrounding area over many years, in a region where client loyalty tends to run from family to family, and this result reflects that.
An award decided by evidence, not entries
What we like about the Trusted Agent Awards is how the winners are chosen. There was no application for us to fill in and no self-nomination involved. Gold in the North East is decided purely by a full year of verified review data, drawn from sources including Google, Facebook and Trustpilot, and weighed alongside real performance measures such as listings won, sales agreed, average time on market and withdrawal rates, for every agent tracked in the region.
Against that evidence, we came out ahead of the rest of the North East.
What the organisers had to say
Simon Whale, founder of Kerfuffle, summed up the result:
"JW Wood didn't need to tell anyone how good they are this year. Their clients already had, on the likes of Google and other review platforms, months before we ever pulled the numbers."
About the Trusted Agent Awards
The Trusted Agent Awards recognise estate and letting agents who genuinely look after their clients, judged not by entry or submission but on the evidence: verified public review data from sources including Google, Facebook and Trustpilot, set against real performance data such as listings, sales, average time on market, and withdrawal and fall-through rates.
Winners are identified by measuring reputation indices against every other agent operating across the region on the View Agents platform, which tracks more than 20,000 offices across the UK. The awards are organised by Kerfuffle and are, in their own words, backed by proof, not promises.
Our thanks
This recognition reflects the experiences of the clients we've worked with across County Durham and the wider North East over the past year. Every review, whether left on Google, Trustpilot or Facebook, played a part in this result.
To everyone who took the time to share their experience with us: thank you. This award belongs to you as much as it does to our team.
